Welcome

Welcome to the donation page of Thomas Peers

Thank you for helping benefit the Wounded Warriors Project!

Hello, my name is Thomas Peers and I am an Army Veteran that is organizing a benefit hike for the Wounded Warrior Project. The name of this event is Hiking for Hometown Heroes, and it is a 6 month trek spanning the entire length of the Appalachian Trail from Mt. Katahdin, Maine to Springer Mountain, Georgia. In each state passed through wounded warriors from each one are invited to hike their respective section of the trail, or the entirety of the hike if they choose. Accompanying me along my journey will be Zachary Dickerson, an independent  documentary film maker. He will be recording until I have completed the trail, which is projected to be December, as well as interviewing different wounded warriors about their stories, their struggles, and what they have been forced to overcome, as well as family members along the way. The documentary itself will also be used to support the Wounded Warrior Project upon editing and final approval of the film. All sponsors and donors will be accordingly credited throughout the film and in any media interviews pertaining to this event.

This event will be starting on June 2 of this year, and will continue until i have completed the trail around December time frame. All donations can be made right here on this site and you can watch as we head towards our goal.  Any support given is very much appreciated. All donations will be put towards this amazing cause helping those who were there to defend our freedoms, at all cost. All paperwork regarding my official affiliation and supporting documents are available at any time along with verification numbers for the Wounded Warrior Project for confirmation.

I also ask that if there are any individuals within your organization that are interested in being a part of this event and would like to hike a portion or entirety of the trail, please have them contact me at any time at the email address provided. I am really just trying to spread the word of the Wounded Warriors Project. I myself was a Chemical Specialist that spent my military career within the Field Artillery sectors of the Army. Though I am not myself a Wounded Warrior, I do have a deep respect for the men and women involved with the program, and would like to help spread the word and help make a difference. Any pamphlets or brochures can be emailed on request covering donation methods, and overall general information about the Wounded Warrior Project and their mission.

Thank you so much for your time and consideration in this matter, and for any support that can be given to go towards this cause. I look forward to hearing from you regarding this matter.

   Sincerely,

Thomas Peers
