Sgt. James C. Dube Memorial Road March

On Monday, April 15, 2013, R.I National Guard Veterans will strap on a 40-pound rucksack, suit up in combat gear –fatigues, boots, and “ruck march” the entire 26.2 mile course of the Boston Marathon to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project, a nonprofit founded a decade ago to help injured veterans, in honor of fallen solider R.I. National Guardsmen Sgt. James C. Dube. Our goal is to raise $5,000.00 dollars before the march steps off.

The goal of the Veterans is to raise $5,000.00 dollars that will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project in honor of  Sgt. James C. Dube.   As member of the Rhode Island National Guard Dube served in Iraq from May 2005 to June 2006.  Shortly after returning home from deployment Dube was killed in a car accident on Victory Highway by a drunk driver.

All of the people who will marching have one thing in common, they want to help their fellow Veterans by raising money in honor all of the men and women who have lost their lives in the Rhode Island National Guard.
